Jamie was born April 5, 1958, in Sweetwater, TX, to Martha Beth Dulaney and Robert Lee Dulaney, who preceded her in death.
Jamie grew up in Houston, TX, and graduated from Alief High School. She met Chris in 1969, while he was on his Houston Chronicle paper route, and their first date was a fun day at Astroworld. They were married in 1976, and maintained their love for fun experiences throughout their marriage. Jamie loved children and had a rewarding career as a Director at KinderCare. Upon her retirement in 2002, she began watching her grandchildren from the comfort of her home.
Jamie was such a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. “Nanny” was so proud of, and absolutely adored her grandchildren. Her charm, wit, and candor always had everyone laughing – and she had a way of making friends wherever she went.
Her interests included spending time with family, hosting holidays, and enjoying time at the cabin on their property. Jamie also enjoyed taking the casino’s money at the slot machines, and a strong rum and Diet Coke – which always led to some funny stories.
Jamie is survived by her husband Chris, children; Lindsey Trae Morrison and husband Jeff, Amber Lee Dickey and husband Justin, grandchildren; Donovan, Kaylee, Bryleigh, and Cade from her daughter Lindsey, and Justin Jr., Jeremy, Jackson, and Jace from her daughter Amber, and sisters; Jenny Scott, Julia Ricketts, and Jill Seipel, and several other family members.
