In the early morning hours of June 24, 2024, James Eugene Wolf, Jr. of Houston, passed away at the age of 69, after a lengthy battle with heart disease.
Jim, or Jimbo, as he was known to his family and friends, was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. to James E. Wolf, Sr., and Margaret Boat Wolf. He grew up in McCandless Township, Pittsburgh with his three siblings in a dynamic, bustling home.
Jimbo joined the Navy shortly after graduating from North Allegheny High School, following in his father’s footsteps. While there, he became proficient in electronics, which Jim was able to parlay into future job opportunities in offshore oil and gas turbine field services, following his honorable discharge.
Ever the adventurer and world-wide voyager, Jim traveled around the globe, working, exploring and experiencing life to its fullest. He had an appetite for food, drink, camaraderie, and knowledge, counting amongst his many friends and acquaintances people of diverse nationalities.
His sharp wit, relaxed attitude, and easy-going nature earned him many friendships. However, he was always devoted to his family, voyaging home whenever he was needed: Lending support and an adventurous tale to the delight of his family, while holding a hand and heart where comfort was essential.
Jim is survived by his precious son, Michael Benson Wolf- his pride and joy, as well as his grand-daughter, Adelina Wolf, apple of his eye. Jimbo is also survived by his brother John Michael Wolf, sister Sara Ann Hudec, brother Patrick Doyle Wolf, as well as Mike’s fiancé, Monica Sanchez, and Mike’s Mother, Mary Wolf -Craig. His surviving extended family includes his siblings’ spouses, as well as his many nieces and
nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his nephews Galen Wolf and Stephen Hudec.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a future date, to be determined.
