Jim was born on April 13, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Peter and Mildred Witkowsky. He graduated from Montour High School, Robinson Twp PA., with the Class of 1977.
He also attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering. Pursuing a career in Petroleum Engineering, and working for Schlumberger and Halliburton (from where he retired). His career allowed him to travel extensively, living in Australia, and traveling to China, Egypt, and Indonesia. He loved traveling and was especially looking forward to his trip to Scotland and Ireland this coming April, with his sister Peggy and her husband Michael.
He was married to Rosalinda “Babes” Villamayor Witkowsky, who preceded him in death May 20, 2020. He is also survived by his siblings: Frank Witkowsky, Patricia Wagner (George), Mary Teitz, Linda Givvin (Joseph), Margaret Matuza (Michael), along with many nieces and nephews.
Jim was known for being outgoing and friendly, and always being a good neighbor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #5, Houston Texas.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Masonic Temple Lodge #4, 4055 W Bellfort, Houston TX 77025. The memorial will be March 17, 2025, 7 pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
