James David Weaver of Houston, Texas passed away Monday, December 1, 2020 at 78 years old. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He will be missed, remembered, and loved always.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda; children, David and Jamie; son-in- law Nathan; 11-year old twin grandchildren, Nicholas and Sophia; and his younger brother, Drew, along with his children and grandchildren.
James was born in Navasota, Texas on June 14, 1942 to Homer and Gladys Weaver. He graduated from the University of Houston, and he served in the Air Force Reserves from 1965-1971. He worked as a chemical engineer for his entire career, and he enjoyed traveling to many different countries, including Scotland, Germany, Denmark, Argentina, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
He was always a fan of baseball. When he was younger, he would play baseball with his brother and friends in the neighborhood. As he grew up, he continued to watch baseball and participate as an avid fan. He loved the Houston Astros - he would often take his children to games when they were young, and he was always ready to sit down and watch a game with his son-in-law, Nathan.
James was intelligent and curious - always learning about new topics, tinkering with machinery, and trying to understand current events. He will always be remembered by his family as a caring and dedicated man who wanted to provide for his family.
