James Roy Pharries Sr.

James was born in Orange, TX on October 11, 1939. Upon graduation from Spring Branch High School (Class of 1958), He served his country in the United States Army until he received an honorable discharge in December 1965.

James and wife Donna owned a security company, Security Rangers and Guard Services, until he became the Chief of Security at South Main Baptist Church until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Donna Pharries of Schulenburg, TX; Son James Pharries and wife Angelia of Huntsville, TX; Son Billy Pharries and Wife of Nadine of Huntsville, TX; Stepdaughter Patricia Cunningham of Houston, TX; Stepdaughter Doral Graham and husband Marvin of Houston, TX; Grandchildren Hunter Pharries, Crystal Wilding, Natalie Little and Jimmy Little, Great Grandchildren Kylie Wilding, Mckenna Wilding and Blakelyn Little, Nephew Paul Pharries; Niece Stephanie; and Great Niece Krystal.

James was preceded in death by his parents William and Merle Pharries; Brother Bill Pharries and Twin brother Jack Pharries.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 12PM-2PM with funeral services to follow from 2PM-3PM.

A private cremation service will be held at a later date.
