Jim proudly served his country; he was a PFC in the US Army and was in Communications as a cryptographer. He also got ribbons for sharp shooting, Marksmanship and received Good Conduct medals. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 20 years and also worked at Lucent Technologies in Communications. Most recently, Mr. Parks worked for Harris County as a process server and was also in the private investigation field.
Mr. Parks is survived by his loving companion of 24 years, Carole Tuttle. Daughters- Terri Bachand, Sheryl Anderson and husband David, Kim Thompson, Son- Doug Tuttle and wife Tammy, Grandchildren- Jessica Bachand, Jennifer Bachand, Jonathan Lara, Larry Tuttle Jr., Great Grandchildren- Boston Bachand and Alyssa O'Connor.
James Parks was a voracious reader of books authored by Tom Clancy, enjoyed taking his dog on walks, his great grandson to the airport to see airplanes and was a loyal Texans fan who never missed a game. One of his most loved treasures is a small airplane made by his great grandson. He deeply cherished his family and dog, Jake . He will be greatly missed and remembered by all those who knew him.
