James John “Jim” Mount, born August 23, 1926 to James and Anna Marie Mount in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, November 13, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Mount was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, William P. Krakosky. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Joan R. Mount; daughter, Linda Bonnett and husband, David, son, James Mount; grandchildren, Victoria and Annie Bonnett; sister, Marguerite Krakosky; niece, Mary Ann Franz; nephew, Thomas Krakosky; great-nephew, Christopher Franz, and other family and friends.
Jim served his country proudly in the Navy during World War II, and retired from Gulf Oil after 38 years of service. He was an active, faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston, Texas for 50 years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a vigil service and rosary will commence at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St., Houston, Texas 77007. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, Texas.
