James F. Melancon

James F. Melancon, Sr., 80, of Humble, Texas passed into eternal rest on April 15, 2019. He was born in Port Barre, Louisiana on October 19, 1938. James honorable served in the United States Army and received an Associates Degree from Community College. James was married to the love of his life, Mable for 50 years. He retired from Kraft Foods and was a HVAC business owner for many years. James was an active member of St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Church and had a passion for attending Mass and fishing with family.

James was preceded in death by wife Mable; and siblings Gertrude Melancon, Lucille Stelly, Josephine Fontenot, Lionel Melancon, Herschel Melancon, and Doris Melancon; and granddaughter Jessica Lynn Stainbrook. Left to cherish his memories are children Stephanie and husband Al Stainbrook, and James Melancon, Jr.; grandchildren Justin Stainbrook and Charleigh Stainbrook.

Family will receive friends and extended family at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 for visitation on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home with interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
