James Brian King, 62, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2024. Born on February 21, 1962, in Santa Maria, California, to parents John Luther King and Judith Gayle King, Brian was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, known for his kindness, humor, and dedication to God.
Brian grew up in Friendswood, Texas, and graduated from San Jacinto College. He had an extensive career in IT, most notably working for NASA for nearly a decade. While pursuing his passions, he met his wife, Elda, in Chicago, and they quickly fell in love. His greatest joy was becoming a father, a dream he cherished deeply.
A die-hard Cowboys and Mavericks fan (his only flaw!), Brian enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, playing PC games with his family, and bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Most importantly, he took immense joy in developing his relationship with God, which was the foundation of the amazing person he was.
He is survived by his wife, Elda King; his children, Sofia and Juan King; and his brothers, Stephen and Thomas King. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Judith King.
