James Edward Ford Jr.

May 21, 1954 in Houston, Texas to James Edward Ford, Sr. and Neta May (Huff) Ford. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from McArthur High School. He married Robin Hanagriff Ford in 1989 and they lived together in their Houston Heights home for over 32 years. Between the two of them, they had six children, who he loved all very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Sr and Neta May Ford; sister, Rebecca Sue Howard. He is survived by his wife, Robin Hanagriff Ford; children, Jurisha Ford Renfrew and husband, Roderick; James Clifton Ford and wife, Arlette, Aneta Roxanne Ford and fiancé, Cobo Fajardo, James Edward Ford III and partner, Rachel Vasquez, Alicia Denise Garza and Adrianna Leah Garza; sisters, Daelila Jean Blair, Rhonda Kay Trojanowsky and husband, James; brother, Mark Douglas Ford; grandchildren, Kaeleb Elijah Ford, Rowan Claire Renfrew, Lenoxx Orion Ford and Kalix Ford; aunts and uncles, Carol Jean James and husband, Don of Jefferson City, Missouri, Mrs.Ruby Huff, Dwight Edward Huff. He had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jim and his wife, Robin started their own family-owned business, Ford Contract Services, Inc. on March 25, 2002. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the rubber lining industry, the company grew and prospered over the last 20 years. He was very proud of that achievement in his life.

He was a family man. He loved family get-togethers, Christmas parties, spending time with his family and friends and going on outings on his boat with his family. He enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, gun collecting and reminiscing about his fishing days when he was younger.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Grand Chapel on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:30pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, Grand Chapel with Rev. Bill Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Reception to follow in Forest Park Lawndale Reception Hall, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Ken Ford, David Gunnels, Jr., Greg Duff, Leroy Brooks, Jose Villagran, Jesus Aguilar, Joe Foyt, Ted Wiese, Jack Fajardo and Paul Duff. Honorary pallbearer is Demetrius Depositario.

The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Methodist Medical Center Oncology, specifically Dr.Eric Bernicker, Methodist Medical Center Pulmonology, and Dr.Trung Luong, Methodist Nephrology for their never ending support and expertise throughout the years 2010, when he was diagnosed with lung cancer, to 2016, when he was declared cancer free. Up to the moment he was taken to Heaven to be with our Lord, he remained cancer free. Our family is very thankful for those extra years he had with us once he was in remission. Thanks be to God.
