James “Skip” Dunn peacefully passed away at MD Anderson, with his family by his side
on March 4, 2020.
Skip was born in Houston, Texas, on April 7, 1950, a son to the late James and Yvonne
Londsford Dunn, who preceded him in death along with a sister Beverly Jean. He was
married to his loving and devoted wife Patricia “Pat” Watkins Dunn for 49 years.
Surviving are three sons, Jason (Brandi), Adam(Rachel) and Brian(Stormee). He is also
survived by his grandchildren, Baylee, Jake, Logan, Kash, Brady, Casey, Mackenzie
and Elizabeth Dunn. Family was more important to him than anything else. He was
never too busy for his boys or his grandchildren.
Skip graduated from New Caney High School in 1969, where he proudly wore #83 as a
receiver and linebacker for the Eagles football team. He was a Shriner and a member
of Sam B. Crawford Lodge #1418 in New Caney. Skip worked for Gulf State Abrasives
for over forty years. After retirement, he and Pat built their dream home in Buffalo, TX.
Skip was a true cowboy with a heart that made him easy to love by his family and
friends. His death leaves a void in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know
and love him.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 12p,
