James Alvin Dobbs

James was an active member at Klein Area Church of Christ, where he taught Bible classes and led singing for many years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha DeWoody Dobbs and loving wife, Wanda Martin Dobbs.

James is survived by his father, H.A. “Buster” Dobbs (Cypress, TX), brother Doug Dobbs, and wife Debbie (Montgomery, TX), sister Cheryl Chandler, and husband Paul (Cypress, TX), daughters Karey Cox, and husband Steve (Fulshear, TX), Kathy Peterson (Corpus Christi, TX, Kym Epperson and husband Brett (Canyon Lake, TX), son Jay Dobbs (Houston, TX) and 4 grandchildren Kaitlyn Cox, Ainsley Cox, Libby Peterson, Carly Peterson.

A visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held at Memorial Oaks on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:30pm.
