James Douglas Barton Jr.

James "Jim" Douglas Barton Jr. left this earth on Sunday, March 24, 2019, in his home at 64 years young. Jim was born on February 28, 1955 and was raised in the Houston area where he also spent most of his life. He recently moved to Pearland, Texas with his loving and devoted wife,Cindy. Jim is also survived by his sons, Jeff Barton; Jason Barton and wife Niki; daughter, Janell Donaho and husband Eric; grandchildren James, Sean, Dexter and Julie; sister Cynthia Cox and husband Bill along with several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous faithful friends.

After starting a plumbing company as a young man, Jim became a successful commercial plumbing business owner. He built this business through strong determination, hard work and his entrepreneurial spirt. Jim will be remembered for his easy and welcoming demeanor. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, boating, traveling and NASCAR. Jim didn't let much grass grow under his feet. Everywhere he lived, he was always looking for the next person to help or project to tackle.

Jim and Cindy became active members of Lakewood Church in Houston, where they restored their faith and continued to maintain a strong relationship with the Lord. His faith and love for the Lord helped him get through this difficult time of illness.

The memorial service will be held on March 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home located at 13102 North Freeway (I-45) Houston, TX 77060.
