Jake S. Roach, 33, of Pasadena, TX, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2022. Jake was born in Ft. Stewart, GA, on August 31, 1988, to Bryon and Barbara Roach. Jake earned his high school equivalency diploma in Colorado and moved to Texas in 2009. Jake lit up the room with his vibrant smile and upbeat personality. He was very knowledgeable in history and enjoyed sharing what he knew. Jake shared a very close relationship with his dad where every year they would travel to a different state and enjoy a week’s camping trip of fishing and visiting different landmark sites with “Uncle” Jeff and Jeff’s son, Stuart. Yearly memories were made that were never forgotten.
Jake was preceded in death by his dad, Bryon Roach. “Uncle” Brady, who was at the hospital the night Jake was born and watched him grow up, and “Uncle” Jeff, were always there for Jake after his dad passed away unexpectedly.
Jake is survived by his loving mother, Barbara, his older sister, Roxanne, his son, Gavin, his stepmother, Jennifer, his aunt and uncle, and his cousins. Jake is also survived by his close friend, John, and several other close friends – all who loved Jake very much.
Jake accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior when he was in his early 20’s. God did a work in his life. Jake would want us to live our lives for God and to the fullest. It’s not goodbye, but instead, “So long. Until we meet again.”
A memorial service for Jake will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
