Mr. Jake Walter Mason

Jake Walter Mason, 17, was born on October 23, 2006 to Jakleena Ware and Derrick Mason in Harris County, Texas. He spent most of his formative school years at Spring ISD and later transferred to Cypress Fairbanks ISD until homeschooling. During his school years, Jake was active in sports, particularly football. Most recently, Jake’s familial musical talents began to peak. He grew interested in music, lyrics, rhymes, beats, and producing. Jake’s talents led him to begin producing beats for Youtubers. Not only did he produce musical beats, but he was learning to cut hair and had grown interested in boxing. Jake was fully vested in maintaining his own independent lifestyle through working his job at Walmart, maintaining his friendships, and maintaining his relationship with his girlfriend.

Jake is the namesake of; his maternal grandfather, Hamilton “Jake”; his paternal Great-Great Grandfather; Great-Grand Uncle; Grand Uncle, Walter “Will” Holman, Sr; Walter Holman, Jr and Walter Clinton Mason.

Jake is loved and survived by a host of devoted family members, including his parents, Jaklenna Ware & Derrick (Julie) Mason; sisters, Samarra Mason and Armani Mason; brothers, Adrian Coleman, Derrick Mason, Jr. and Dorian Gray Coleman; grandparents, Tommy & Darlene Mason, Hamilton Jake Ware & Josefina Joan Salinas; Great-Grandmother, Love Marie Adams; Aunts & Uncles: LaJeania & Gene Williams, Juan Mason, Tiffany Mason, Ramey Earl Miller & Tyron Jay Miller. Jake is further survived by; a host of Grand Aunts & Uncles, cousins and friends that will forever cherish his memory for generations to come.
