Mary Jacqueline Buettner Cole, "Jackie", born the 13th of April 1935, went to be with her Lord on the 11th of January 2011. We are comforted in the blessing that she will join the love of her life, her soul mate, Bill Cole.
Jackie is survived by her loving children, Jerry Leazer, Cathy Siegel, Clint Leazer, Christopher Cole, Leslie Leazer, Laurie Leazer and her many beautiful grandchildren. Jackie devoted her life to lovingly raising her children. In addition, she had a successful career at Shell Oil. Born in Stubenville Ohio, she later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a "Birdie Girl" for life and a proud member of the ROTC. Later, Jackie attended LSU and was an active member in the CHI OMEGA Sorority. She was passionate about volunteering whether it be at local hospitals such as Rosewood or various organizations and especially her beloved church, St. Martin's Episcopal, where she was instrumental in the founding of Lydia's Guild and a Charter Member of The Order of Saint Luke's, just a few of the numerous organizations she gave her heart and time to. She will be missed greatly, loved beyond measure and remembered forever by so many as she touched many lives with her simple graciousness, sense of humor, ease and tender loving heart.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family for an “intimate viewing” from six until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 13th of January, in The Parlor of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
