Jack L. Peery was born in Cushing, OK on April 26, 1930 and went to be with the Lord, on November 28, 2018 at the age of 88. During the span of his life, Jack boasted a multitude of accomplishments. He was in the Air Force and fought in the Korean War. Jack also graduated from Oklahoma State University, a family tradition! As a mechanical engineer, he was president of a company that manufactured fiber glass pipes for the oil industry. As a deacon at Second Baptist Church, Jack was a supporter of The Youth Retreat Scholarship Fund at the church.
Left to cherish Jack’s memory is his wife, Virginia Walters Peery; daughter, Nancy Peery; grandson, Joseph Peery Winchester, wife Stephanie and Cody Winchester; great grandchildren, Matthew Peery Winchester and Lilly Peery Winchester; daughter in law, Melody Winchester, husband Scott. Jack is also survived by his step sons; Steve Walters, wife Zaida, and David Walters, wife, Jayme; step granddaughter, Amy Hatch, husband Daniel; and step great granddaughters, Alyssa and Amelia.
In addition, the Peery family, has an extended Chinese family, that will miss Jack tremendously; Mark Ma, wife Dandan, Evan Gao, wife Susan, Jerry Zhang, wife Eva, Tu Long, wife Donna, Johanna Do, husband Tony, Lien Sheets and Peter Piao.
Preceded in passing, is Jack’s first wife, Phnaughn Matthews Peery; son, Craig Peery; and grandson, Matthew Peery.
A memorial service for Jack L Peery will be at The Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist Church on December 5th at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers, it is Jack’s wish that donations be made to the Youth Retreat Scholarship at Second Baptist.
