Jack was born and raised in the Heights of Houston, Texas. He attended John Reagan High School in the Heights. After high school, Jack received BS in Chemistry from Rice Institute and Doctorate of Jurisprudence from University of Houston. He joined the military where he served in United States Naval Reserve at the US Naval Communication Station in Washington, DC. After his military service, he worked as a patent attorney for Texaco Inc./Chevron. Jack enjoyed attending Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy where he was a member. He enjoyed his hobby of woodworking and stock market.
Jack is preceded in death by his mother, Ellie Herman Brouilette; father, Johnnie Leander Park; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sumrow; and sister, Etoile Stone.
Jack is survived by wife, Ann Jean Park; daughter, Susan Hudson and husband Casey; son, John Park and wife Caron; son-in-law, Jimmy Jack Sumrow, Sr.; grandchildren, Jack Sumrow, Jr. and wife Roxanne, Clarke Brizendine and wife Tammy, Brian Brizendine and fiancee Taylor Watson, Taylor Park and Katie Park; and great-grandchild, Jimmy Jack Sumrow III.
