Jack Day Bowers went to be with his lord Jesus Christ on November 15, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born January 15, 1931 a lifelong Houstonian. He was employed by Houston lighting and Power Co. for 5 years and by Southwestern Bell for 37 years, a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force. He served as a member of the American Legion Post “416”.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; Merrill Samuel and Willa Mae Bowers; brother Merrill Ray (Mickey Bowers); granddaughter Abra Hudgins; son-in-law Victor Brewer.
His loving family survivors him; wife of 46 years Jacqueline Walston, sons, Daniel Wayne and Samuel Ray, daughters Valerie and husband Bill Waldron, Rhonda and husband Richard Brown, Paula and husband Mark Swanberg, Celeste and husband Gary Pangarakis, Willa Renee, sons, Merrill Franklin and wife Monique, Paul Chris, Conrad Day and wife Sofia Robertson, Mike Day, numerous grandchildren, cousins, family and friends.
Pastor Dante Santi of Christ Covenant Church will be affiliating, internment will be following at Brookside Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Paul Chris Rau, Merrill Bowers, Conrad Robertson, Tyler Robertson, Gary Pangarakis, Chris Davis, Ashton Bowers and Hughes Brown.
