Isabelle Belmarez Lopez

Isabelle Belmarez Lopez, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, 31st of January. Isabelle was born on July 14th, 1957 in Houston Texas, to her father, Joe Belmarez and her mother, Julia Frausto.

She married her soulmate, Robert Lopez Jr., and they spent 38 years happily married and started a beautiful life together. Isabelle had a passion for dancing and cooking. She was an active and caring woman who spent most of her life thinking of others. She is a two-time cancer survivor, she battled breast cancer in her early 30’s and battled throat cancer later in her life. She looked forward every year in participating in the Susan G. Komen Walk that raised critical funds that support breast cancer patients. She always surrounded herself with her family and friends, which where she felt most comfortable and loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Belmarez; Julia Frausto, brother Alfonso Frausto Jr., sister Cynthia Frausto and step daughter Christine Martinez.

Isabelle is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lopez Jr., her step mother Mary Helen Belmarez, her sister, three brothers and her daughters, Samantha (Inez Jr.) Tristan, Lisa (Salvador Jr.) Rodarte, and Joann Lopez, her son Robert Lopez III, stepdaughters Delilah Lopez, Lenell Lopez and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with many family, friends and her 5 chihuahuas. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her deeply.

A visitation for Isabelle will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
