On the blessed day of September 14, 1932 a baby girl was born to the proud parents of Oliver Bacon and Pauline Roberts Bacon in Beckville, Texas and raised in Carthage, Texas. They lovingly named her Irene Bacon. She received her formal education from the local schools in Houston Independent School District, including Dogan Elementary and E.O. Smith High School. With the blessing of being raised in a loving home, Irene was baptized at an early age in Carthage,Texas and later joined church at Sunrise Baptist Church on Bringhurst in Houston, Texas. She had a great appreciation for all genres of music. Irene enjoyed cooking for the family. Her favorite dish was her delicious sweet potato pies. In her golden years, her favorite place was at home surrounded by family and sitting in her rocking chair while enjoying the peace of the outdoors. She was a hardworking woman who dedicated her life to her children. She was employed in the field of domestic work in the late 1970’s at Lamar Hotel and Roadway Inn. Irene is preceded in death by her late husband, Johnny Lee Hall, parents, Oliver Bacon, Pauline Roberts Bacon, daughter, Sheila Hall and host of brothers and sisters. She leaves precious and loving memories to her only 2 living siblings, Phylis Bacon Jarmon, Daymon Bacon, children, Ivory Hall Flowers, DorothyHall Bacon, Theresa Hall, her only son, Leonard Hall, daughter-in-law, Sandra Hall along with a host of 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great -great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
