Irene L. Barron, 89 years old, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2017. She was born in Sabine County of Texas (Pineland, Texas) on September 17, 1927. Irene graduated from Bronson High School in 1945. She was married to Norman Roy Barron, Sr. Irene had a career in Insurance Profession and Retired from the Chubb Insurance Company in 1993. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She had a passion for music, movies, and writing poems.
She is survived by her children: Ronna Lynn Taylor, Carol Pipkins and Robert Barron; grandchildren: Dillan Taylor, Miranda Barron, Christina Jones, Carl Jones and Leighton Province; brother Weldon Thomas and sister Deva McBride.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
