Imogene A. Morrison

Imogene A. Morrison, age 85, was born on 11/23/1928 in Floresville, Tx and passed on 6/12/2014. She grew up in Floresville and was raised by Big Mama & Big Daddy-grandparents. Imogene graduated from Floresville High School; A&I University, Kingsville, Tx BS - Home Economics (1949). She married in 1950 to her beloved husband, Ernest L. Morrison Jr. in San Antonio at Fort Hood. They later moved to Snyder Lubbock & Midland, Tx. They moved to Houston, Tx in 1976 where they retired. She was a school teacher in Shiner, Tx; Home Economics. Imogene was a bookkeeper for an Orthopedic Surgeon. She was a devoted member at Memorial Church of Christ Since 1976. Imogene enjoyed sewing, cooking, her pet Pekingese (Muffin), traveling with friends on bus trips, needlework and reading books. A special thanks to Sunrise Assisted Living Cinco Ranch and A-Med Hospice Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Morrison, Jr ; parents, Ruth Marie Bowie and Clyde Wilson Adams; brother, John W. Adams and grandparents. Imogene is survived by her daughters, Mary M. Anders and husband Donald R. Anders; Leslie J. Barnes and husband Roy A. Barnes, Jr. ;grandchildren, Donna M. Anders - Pizana; Garrett R. Barnes; Shannon Boulet; great grandchildren, Megan E. Pizana, Ava Pizana and Mya Pizana; sisters, Mildred Seton and Mary Ruth Adams of College Station, Tx; sister-in-law, Lee Adams; many nieces & nephews of Adams Family and Al & Margaret Ann Washington (Life Long Friends) . Serving as honorary pallbearers; John W. Adams, Jr., Freddy Burnett, Ronnie Mullinax, Jack Adams and Ben Adams. There will be a visitation held on Monday, June 16th from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17th in the main chapel of Forest Park Westheimer. Burial will immediately follow.
