Ignacio was a graduate of Milby High School and then went on to serve in the Korean War as a Corporal in the US Army. Ignacio "Nacho" was also a shipping and receiving clerk for Dresser Industries. He had a passion for playing and teaching his children and grandchildren how to play cards and other games.
Ignacio was married to and preceded in death by his loving wife Oralia Garcia Rodriguez. He is survived by his children; Robert Rodriguez, Elda Skrehot (Alan), and Leonard Rodriguez (Marla), his sister; Margaret Torres, his grandchildren; Celest Brunk (David), Shely Briones (Gino), Bobby Rodriguez (Melinda), Lynette Thompson (Eric), Lisa Thorpe (Kevin), Leslie Henson (Todd), Ashley Skrehot (Cinthia Tovar), Britany Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Brandin Rodriguez, and Briana Rodriguez, his great-grandchildren; Ryan, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Mya, Jazmin, Zoe, McKinley, Joshua, Ethan, Jaden, Eli, Alia, Elyse, Rylin, Emery, Luke, and soon to be Ethan Andrew.
Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM with the interment to follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Rodriguez, Jr., Gino Briones, David Brunk, Ryan Rodriguez-Bell, Anthony Rodriguez, Brandin Rodriguez, Joshua Brunk and Ethan Rodriguez.
