Herman J. Grosch, 89, passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s during his last years. Herman has gone with Jesus to his reward in Heaven. He was an usher at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church for 35 years. Herman worked as a TV technician at Foleys for 35 years and was their best serviceman. Herman is preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Ida Grosch, brothers; Joe Grosch and Charles Grosch, sister; Annie Beiersdoerfer, and his precious son Herman Grosch Jr. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Lillian, daughter; Marcella and her husband Wallace Edwards Jr., grandson; William Edwards III and his wife Christine, granddaughter; Michelle and her husband Jeff Smith and great- grandchildren; Quay Edwards, Courtney Johnson, and Arianna Renee Smith. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 22, 2010, 6pm – 8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, 2010, 10am at Forest Park Lawndale Family Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. The family would like to extend their heart filled thanks to the “Cottage of Spring Branch” for their wonderful care, and to “Vitas Hospice” for their care and kindness during his final days.
