HENRY RAMOS entered into eternal rest after 79 years of a well lived earthly life.
The 4th child born to Ignacio and Elvira Ramos was raised in a large loving family of 9 children in Houston Texas, before beginning his Air Force career.
While stationed in Verdun, France, during his weekend pass in Paris he met at “La Boheme” jazz club and fell in love with Lily, his wife of 51 years. His career took him to Madrid, Spain, where the arrival of his son, John blessed him. A year and half later his daughter Rachel came as a second blessing.
His military career allowed him and his family to be posted in various locations, Maryland, Illinois, Texas and England, where he loved meeting interesting people and discover the surroundings.
As a meteorologist in the Air Force, he worked in the Control Tower organizing flight plans for fighter pilots, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired with rank of Master Sergeant after 35 years.
Henry returned to Texas and began his second career in the private sector. He was hired by his military buddy and Best Man for Air Routing International. He retired in 2008 after 27 years as weather consultant and international flight planner for private jets.
Since 1981 he has resided with his family in Sugar Land Texas.
He had a zest for Life, always open up for traveling and new discoveries. He was a great man who walked through life dignified and humble. He equally enjoyed the finer things and the simple pleasures of being amongst his loved ones. He was devoted to his family. His meticulous and patient nature was truly a virtue.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Ignacio and Elvira Ramos and brothers, Lawrence and Gilbert Ramos. He is survived by his loving wife, Liliane; his beloved children John Ramos and wife Sandy and Rachel Manuela; his grandchildren, Ahna, Audrey
Chloe and Andrew. His siblings, Hope Ramirez, Olivia Ramos, Reyes Ramos and wife Martha, Aurora Flores and husband Joe, Richard Ramos and wife Julie, Rachel Lucio and husband Andrew, and sister-n-laws Carol and Mary Ramos as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.
He touched many lives and left a lasting impression on whomever he met.
