Henry Lazarine

Henry Lazarine, 100, of Houston, Texas went to his heavenly home in the arms of Jesus on January 19, 2016. He was the first born of thirteen children to John and Josephine Lazarine, on November 13, 1915 in Nacogdoches, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mellie Catherine; son, Gene and wife Debbie; grandsons, Daniel and wife Susan, David, and Joseph; great grandsons, Elliott and William. He is also survived by sisters, Rose, Mary Lou, Dorothy, Patricia; and brother, John; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by sisters; Jewell and Barbara; brothers, Robert, Jake, Lonnie, Berdine and Charles.

Henry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a city bus driver for 37 years. He was also a member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. The family wanted to give a special thanks to all the Seasons Hospice Caregivers and the doctors and staff at Kelsey-Sebold and St. Lukes.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Pat H. Foley & Company Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:30am, Monday, January 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. also at Pat H. Foley. Interment will be held at 2:00pm that afternoon at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
