Helen Marjorie Beaugh Tidwell, born in Ged, Louisiana on August 31, 1926, died peacefully while sleeping on July 6, 2015. She was 88 years old. Helen was a devoted wife and was preceded in death by her husband W.L. “Bill” Tidwell. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Mark Schumacher, son David Tidwell, grandsons Jeremy and Joshua Tidwell, and great granddaughter Emma Grace Tidwell.
Helen became a Houstonian in 1962 when she relocated with Bill from Louisiana. She was originally a member of the St. Francis de Sales community and, more recently with Bill, a member of Gethsemane United Methodist church. She was very active in both organizations and spent much time comforting the old, sick and elderly in area nursing homes. In her 60’s and 70’s, she regularly volunteered preparing food and feeding the “old” people. The world will be less because she is not in it.
