Mrs. Luna was a cornerstone at SPCO for so many years and I have utmost respect for her.

Dear Luna cousins, 
Deepest sympathy for the passing of Aunt Helen.  She was a great, cheerful light during our frequent visits to Houston. My heart goes out to you all, as we here know the depth of your grief during these days. May the very best memories of your mom bring you comfort and peace.  She and Uncle Felix will always be remembered fondly for the kindness and laughter they shared with us.

We will miss Mrs Luna i can remember the times when I would go to the credit union and when you would walk in she would always have this big smile on her face. Your mother will be missed by all who knew her. My father was one of her biggest fans. Now they can talk to each other up in heaven. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal. Always remember God is in control.

Helen opened her heart and her home every time the Garcia family came into Houston for a dance or wedding.  One of my favorite summers was living with the Luna's while working a summer teenage job. I didn't appreciate it at the time but she made me feel like one of her boys.  She and her family had a special gift of making everyone feel special.  I know she's getting ready for the big dance with Felix and all her old friends and family.

What wonderful times our families had together growing up.  Your mom was a class act - I still remember her fixing Hamburgers on Friday nights and they were the best I ever had....I think because they were made with so much love. To Helen's family, I am so sorry for your loss.  Helen was a good friend of my Mother Mary A. De La Rosa Sr., which I too have lost.  Helen would always call my mom and remind her that Lawrence Welk show was on.  They were good company to one another. My prayers go out to you all, she has passed on to a better place.

My condolences to the family.  Helen was a special friend to my parents (Mary and Arthur De La Rosa) and mom spoke of her often. They shared some great memories.  I believe they will all be together again in Heaven. God Bless you all.

Aunt Helen you will be missed.  I loved the phone conversations that we would have because you cared enough to call me and make sure my family was well and tell us you loved us.  You can't imaqine how special you always made me feel.  Now, I make this promise to you.
To take care of Aunt Gloria and keep her safe.  You would always tell me how much it meant to you that I loved her and had taken her into my home to care for her.  You laughed when she would talk on the phone from Memphis,
She would not talk on the phone for long before and certainly not very loud.  Thank you Aunt Helen for the encouragement to keep her busy and telling us how proud you were of all of us.  You will be missed so much, but you and I know that our conversations will continue. 
Keep the lines open and be there for your sister Gloria when she's feeling down and alone.  Be sure to tell my mother and father, uncle Felix, aunt Rosie and uncle Tony, Aunt Sue and uncle Robby,Uncle Louis and my cousin Felix, that we will still miss them but we know a family get together is in full swing. Remember fondly the evening Barbara and I had Aunt Helen over to Barbara's house for "Fish Tacos".  She talked about those fish tacos every time we saw her afterwards. It's always nice to have family that enjoys a good meal and a hearty laugh.  I will miss her laugh and her generous smile.

I think back over the years I have known her. I took her to one her class reunions and then we spent the night at one of her sisters in Galveston, I always enjoyed being around her. She was a smart and lovely person.  She will be greatly missed. Clara Box Hollaway retired  from SP.

Remembering my dear Aunt Helen: At 15, she gave me my first summer job working at the SP Credit Union. I had hit the big time! Taking Metro into the M&M building downtown, working 8-5 with a real wardrobe, rubbing elbows with the bosslady Mrs. Luna, and best of all making minimum wage! No more babysitting for me. There was never a happier "General Office Flunky" around. That, by the way, is the official title she gave me when I asked what I should call the position on my college applications!

It was a pleasure to know Mrs Luna, such an inspiration to all.  Condolences to all her family.

Mrs Luna was a great lady. At SP she stood out as a mother figure to all the young men accounts. She will be truly missed. To the family, remember GOD is a good God and she is at home resting in his care. May God bless and keep you.
