Helen Jane Haisler

Helen J. Haisler passed away peacefully on January 26, 2016. Helen was born on January 28, 1925 in Seton, Texas to Ella (Hruska) Janicek and father Edward Janicek. She is preceded in death by her mother Ella Hruska Janicek, father Edward Janicek, sister Martha Talbot, brother Junior Janicek,daughter-in-law Brenda Haisler, and her beloved husband Raymond J. Haisler of 71 years. She is survived by her son Richard Haisler; grandchildren: Dawn Haisler, Kimberly Kubecka and husband Aaron Kubecka; great-grandchildren: Cody Melancon, Elena Acuna, Elisa Acuna, and Brianna Kubecka and many beloved friends and neighbors. After retiring from Houston Independent School District, she had passion for her rose gardens and tulips but mostly anything to do with her cherished yard. Her and Raymond on several occasions would go to SPJST hall to listen, dance, and enjoy their favorite band the Vrazels. She loved to cook her heritage food of Czech dishes but famously known as her homeade kolaches.She will be greatly missed on this earth by many but will be reunited with her loved ones in eternity. Funeral and visitation arrangements will be at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77093. Visitation will be on Friday January 29, 2016 from5:00pm-8:00pm with Funeral services on Saturday January 30, 2016 at 10:00am with a graveside service at 11:00.
