I met Frances in 1989 when we were both assigned to EJ King School in Sasebo Japan.  

We became great friends and had wonderful trips around Japan —specifically antique shops, onsens (hot baths) and yummy restaurants.  

Frances was loved by everyone and people often talked about the classy lady - she was always dressed beautifully and her hair was perfectly coiffed Plus she was a fantastic cook and a wonderful hostess.

She was very much loved by all!

Despite both being “Texas Gals” we met while teaching school in Japan. Shared many fun travels together and met up to eat sushi often after returning to Houston from our work abroad!

Always in my heart! I miss her!

I met Frances over 20 years ago while I was living in Houston through our mutual friend Patti Richardson and shared many wonderful, interesting dinners and get togethers with her. She was delightful to be with recounting so many interesting stories of her life with a sharp sense of humor!  Wonderful memories!  She will be greatly missed. 

Frances, my son Eric, my daughter Fawn and I met while the two of us taught for DODS in Japan in 1983. Ironically, we met and became friends halfway around the world from our home state, a friendship that continued long after we moved back to the US and to Houston, Texas. We traveled and spent many happy times together!! She shall be missed by us!! Who am I going to eat sushi with now??  My sincere condolences to a fantastic lady ... a mom, a grandmother, a sister, and my friend!
