Hector Torres Ponce De Leon, Sr. was reunited with his “honey/viejita” Amalia, in the Kingdom of Heaven on October 2nd, 2019. Hector was born in Houston, Texas on December 13, 1928. Hector was a proud civil servant for 35 years retiring from the City of Houston Parks Department. Hector retired as the Greenskeeper Supervisor at Hermann Park Golf Course. Hector was a proud native Houstonian and American. Dad instilled in his children a sense of responsibility, accountability, honesty, hard work, and above all else, love of family.
Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Amalia, Hector leaves behind their 3 children, Sylvia; Hector Jr. and his wife Ophelia; Jaime and his wife Audrey; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Rest in peace Daddy. We love you.
