Hazel Marie Harman passed away at the age of 92 on June 7, 2020. Hazel was born October 22, 1927 to Dewey and Allie Ramsey in Holson Valley, Oklahoma. Hazel lived her 92 years her way, she was loved and appreciated by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She never met a stranger and loved her family deeply. Hazel graduated from La Flore High School and successfully transitioned into the business world. Then on May 27, 1955 she married the love of her life Howard Ray Harman.
Hazel was widowed in 1970 and proudly accepted the challenge of being both a mother and father to her children. She was able to balance the loving and nurturing home life she had established along with being able to continue to successfully grow Howard’s business in a man’s world at the highest level. She gracefully accepted the challenge. She conceded that she may not always be right but was going to do it her way. Hazel loved to country and western dance and would dance several times a month well into her seventies. Hazel loved to travel and was so happy to be able to visit Hawaii, take cruises and fly on a private jet to the Indy 500, which she said was an experience of a lifetime.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Allie Ramsey, her husband, Howard Ray Harman, her daughter, Jane Ellen Hamilton, her brothers, Carmen Ramsey and Jimmy Ramsey, her sisters, Bonnie Ramsey Wooten and Wanda Sue Patterson, and her faithful four-legged companions, Rinney, Buddy and Higgins.
Hazel is survived by her brothers Henry Ramsey and his wife Marie Ramsey, Wayne Ramsey and his wife Carol Ramsey, her loving children Hope Tilotta and her husband Louis Tilotta, Bobby Harman and his wife Laura Harman, 6 grandchildren Kimberly Hamilton Pfeiffer, Trey Hamilton, Matthew Tilotta, Ryan Tilotta, Robbie Harman and Allie Harman, 6 great grandchildren, George Edwin Hamilton IV, Tristin Makay Hamilton, Alyssa Kimberley Hamilton, Karl Pfeiffer, Derek Pfeiffer, Van Pfeiffer, her nephew Randy Wilcher and his wife Ronda Wilcher, and their children Christina Munoz and Zachary Wilcher, numerous other nieces and nephews and her faithful four-legged companions, Oakley and Bailey.
The world has lost a true original and Heaven has gained another beautiful Angel.
