Harry George Ray gained his wings on December 19, 2015. He was born June 26, 1947 to Mary Catherine Ray and Harry Francis Ray in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the older brother to William J. Ray (Billy) and took his role as a big brother very proudly. Harry graduated from Abraham Lincoln Senior High School in June of 1964 and shortly thereafter began his career as a professional truck driver. Prior to retiring, Harry Ray had a productive career as commercial truck driver for over 30 years. Harry Ray retired in 2009 from Houston Community College as a Commercial Truck Driver Instructor. Harry Ray was preceded in death by his parents Mary C. Ray and Harry F. Ray. He is survived by his wife Olivia J. Ray of 11 ½ years, brother William F. Ray, Sr (Billy) of Philadelphia, PA, son George H. Ray, Sr. (Wendy) of Brookwood, AL, daughter Megan Ray Ware (Samuel) of Coaling, AL, Charles Hudson (Tammy) of Pennsylvania, and Courtney Shaw and Ashley Morrison of Humble, Tx, and nephews William J. Ray Jr and Edward R. Ray both of Philadelphia, PA. Grandsons George H. Ray Jr (Ashleigh) and Matthew J. Ray both of Florida, Devin K. L. Hulsey Sr.(Jodi) and Dolin K. R. Hulsey both of Tuscaloosa, Al, Dustin K. S. Hulsey of Jasper, AL and Great Grandsons Braydon Ray and Landen Ray of Florida and Devin K. L. Hulsey Jr of Alabama. Harry Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was loved by all who knew him and had the pleasure of meeting him. Mr. Harry Ray was in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967-1968.
