Harry Holland Daniel

Harry Holland Daniel, of Houston, passed away on Saturday, the 5th of December 2020. He was 83 years of age. Harry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on the 14th of March 1937, to the late Harry Vincent Daniel and Daisy Fourmy Daniel.

Harry grew up in New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University and graduated from University of Houston in 1963.

Harry loved his family more than anything and lived life to its fullest. He loved all animals, especially his three cats. He is remembered for his big smile, outgoing personality, kindness to all and wonderful sense of humor. He was bigger than life, was loved by many and will be missed by all. He loved sharing the outdoors with friends and family. He was an avid fisherman and nationally ranked Skeet shooter. He was a longtime member of the Greater Houston Gun Club since 1981.

Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Waggoner Daniel; son Jeffrey Holland Daniel; and his daughter Kimberly Daniel Whaley and husband Bill; and his grandchildren William Stewart Whaley and wife Alex; and Daniel Holland Whaley and wife Sidney; and preceded in death by his children Harry Holland, Elizabeth Ann and Patricia. He is also survived by his only sister Judith Deane of Houston, Texas and numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 11th of December, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo H Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

The family will gather for a private inurnment in Metairie, Louisiana alongside his infant son and daughter.
