Harry Armstrong Bell, aged 88, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2024. Born on December 20, 1935, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to J.C. and Winifred Bell, Harry lived a life full of joy, love, and accomplishment.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 wonderful years, Virginia (Ginny) Bell. His legacy continues through his cherished nieces Carol Moore (Jim), Mary Elizabeth Igoe (John), Michele Anderson (John), and Toni Jane Tubbe (Robert), as well as his nephews Michael Owen Bell Jr. (Kathrin) and Mike Thomas Little (Ann), and sister-in-law Mary Jane Little.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Michael Owen Bell and Jon Timothy Bell, his sister-in-law Anne Bell, his mother-in-law Gertrude K. Scholwinski, and his nephew Ryan Timothy Bell.
Harry's vibrant life was marked by his passion for music, demonstrated early on with his formation of a singing group, The Mascots, during his high school years at Reagan High School. Alongside friends Larry, Jerry, and Joe, Harry delighted audiences at numerous clubs and venues.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Harry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as showing horses, playing golf, and boating in Galveston and the Bahamas with his close friend Jimmy Greer. He spent a lot of time boating at Longboat Key. His career in sales was distinguished by his role as a partner at Walling Bell, a testament to his dedication and expertise.
Harry will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his dedication to family and friends, and his zest for life. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX 77008. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane St, Houston, TX 77007. Interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.The family invites you to join them for a reception following the interment at 1:00 PM at BraeBurn Country Club, 8101 Bissonnet St., Houston, TX 77074.
