He was a very devoted husband and father. Mr. Lang graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He served with the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division in Italy during World War II. He helped organize Mechanics Uniform Supply Co. in 1946, and became President of the firm in 1949.
He was active in many of Houston’s civic and charitable organizations; most notable as President of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo from 1964 to 1966. Mr. Lang served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the 100 Club of Houston, the International Bank of Commerce, the Houston Farm and Ranch Club, the Bill Williams Capon Dinner and many others. At the time of his death, Mr. Lang was an active member of the Executive Committee of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Mr. Lang is preceded in death by his loving wife, the late Jane Lang; and by son, the late Donald Blair Lang. He is survived his son, H. Stuart Lang, III; grandchildren, H. Stuart Lang, IV, Melaine (Lang) Jaeger and husband Chris, Carla (Lang) Bradford and husband Rock, Blair Lang and wife Katie, Laura Lang and Lindsey Box; great-grandchildren, Carson Jaeger, Bennett Bradford, Campbell Bradford and Beatrice Lang; brother, Danny M. Lang, Sr. and wife Delores; nephews, Danny M. Lang, Jr. and Hal Cunningham, Jr. and wife Jane.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening, on Monday, the 25th of April, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A memorial service is to be conducted at half-past eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 26th of April, also in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where the Rev. Bernard W. Nord, Interim Co-Pastor of St. Philip Presbyterian Church, is to officiate.
Honored to serve as casket-bearers during the services include Mike Murnane, John O. Smith, John R. Braniff, Rick Hartley, Al Partlow, Clay Parker, Fred Boone and Buddy Roberts.
Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
