Guadalupe M. Ramirez

Guadalupe M. Ramirez, 79, was called home, January 24, 2022. Lupe was born to the late Santiago H. Martinez and Nativdad Lomas Martinez, October 24, 1942, in Houston, Texas, raised in Houston’s east end - Magnolia, attended J. R. Harris Elementary and Edison Jr. High.

She is sister to the late Santiago Martinez (Lupe), Evangelina Stone(Dale), Edilberto Martinez (Mila), Victoria Contreras, and Gloria Saldana (Tomas).

She married the late Jose Moreno Gonzales in 1963 and they lived together in northeast Houston. Lupe remarried Louis Ramirez in 1980 for 28 years. Lupe is survived by six children: Jose Gonzales, Theresa Salazar (Charles), Adam Gonzales (Alicia) and Gilbert Gonzales; Louie Ramirez and Paula Ramirez Garza. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Reynaldo Garza, Jacob Ramirez, Bella Alvarez, Catrena and Martena Hodge, Adam L. (AJ) Gonzales, Celeste and Leyla Salazar and Five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Jada and Zoe Garza, Skylyn Hodge and Maverick Carlton and her beloved dog, Buddy. Also, many family and friends of which she loved and touched deeply.

Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Please join us celebrating her life Friday, February 4, 2022. We will have a visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX 77023.
