Hey grandma and dad it’s my 21st birthday!! I wish y’all was here to congratulate me it’s been so long.. y’all were my best friends all I’ve ever wanted. Y’all been there for me through so much y’all always listened to me, and it meant the world to me. I know you and dad are in a better place now but I miss y’all so much I got married and joined the army but I’m doing good I’m working on myself and getting better. Dear Mom, our baby brother would be 33 today... Please give him hugs and kisses from all us...we miss him so much. I hope you two celebrate his beautiful birth...I still remember the day he came home...in tears, he was truly a gift from God. Love you! Happy Birthday Philly!

One year ago today this beautiful woman left us for Heaven. She was my bestfriend, my heart, and my strength. Although, I have my father, it is difficult  at times, especially to not have someone to vent with (we agreed on some things). I miss you everyday..., but you know that, I have regular spiritual  visits with you, and those are my best days since you left...I love you mama, and I'll see you later...thank you for everything that I am.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...the holidays were rough getting through without  you and Philly...however, it feels like it is starting over, next week you will have been put in the hospital on DiDi's birthday, then shortly you leave us...I miss you both so very much....Mom, talk with God please...no more death for a while...I Love You.

Happy Thanksgiving Mama!  I miss you and Phillip so much!  I cannot believe this year, you and my baby brother.  I miss cooking with you today.  But, Eliana and Jasmine helped me bake, and we are having dinner in our new home.  You would be so proud, we finally bought our home together.  But, not the same, I don't have you to shop or share this with.  I need Phillip too, I need him to paint and build stuff for me.  Mom, I bet it is beautiful up there.  One day...we can laugh and sing together again. Give Philly a kiss and hug for me.

Happy Birthday to this beautiful,  crazy, and fun loving woman, our Mom, she would be 62 today... Mom passed on January 19, 2015...I think of you quite often...and, this month, hell, the past 9 months have been overwhelming heartache...I miss you so much, I miss you and Philly...I just want to hold and kiss you both one more time...Happy Birthday Mama, I'll see ya later...you are my guiding light, my ladybug, my heart and soul.

Today is Grandparents Day! I miss you everyday. You were, are the best Grandma my nieces and nephews could have. Your love for them was so beautiful! I love you mama, you were such a special woman. I'll see ya later...

Mom, it's Jacob it's good friday and I'm sitting here at work on o.t. I have 12 hours today, ya you know me working every holiday. Well sunday is Easter I'll be doing my usual as you know at the park with Alma and the kids and family I'll be making my usual stop off at yalls house to see dad on saturday and probably take him to visit you I bought you some flowers for easter I will take them to you. Every holiday this year will be different without you but I will celebrate it as with you here. I love you very much and miss you very much I think of you every day and miss you every day. I dreamed you the other day thank you for coming to check on me because lately it's been tough for me but I'm sure you know that. Well I guess I will let you go now until I dream you again. I LOVE YOU MOM.

Hey grandma. It's been a while since I last heard from you. I wonder if you're doing ok time to time. If you are that's good. I can tell nina and the others really misses you.
I miss you and I realized that as soon as I enter the 9th grade....I won't be able to tell you about it.  Even the really fast holiday breaks I will get will not feel the same. I miss you alot. Love you~

Hey mom it's Jake, yesterday was my birthday and I missed your phone call in the morning singing me happy birthday, I waited for it all day even though I knew it would never come and it hurts. Dad called me the other day on your phone and your picture popped up I went to grab it real fast but remembered your no longer here and I didn't pick up, but I did call him back. My first year without your birthday call and certainly not the last. I miss you very much and there isn't a day that has gone by that your not in my mind. I know Phil has had his turn without that song and now I have mine not a very good feeling. I want you to know that i thank you for having me a giving me this life i live now  for 34 years and i hope there is many more. At anytime i know you could have decided not to have me but you did and that is special, I have to keep telling you  that I love you and I miss you very much and you still live on in my heart and mind. I love you mom with all my heart, love Jake......

Tomorrow will be one month since we laid you to rest.  I still cannot believe it, I am so numb about it.  I miss you, I mean what else am I supposed to feel...  I never realized life would be so lonely without you.  I never thought that I would actually have to go shopping without you or hearing your voice to take you shopping.  I hate this...  I wish I could wake up, and this would all be a dream...I miss and love you very much Mom.  It hurts everyday...

It has been 3 weeks since we laid you to rest.  I decided to clean my closet today, and found a book you gave to me on 6/11/1997.  The book was about you and I, and I found a poem that I jotted down in there.  I wrote this poem on 11/06/1987...so; here it is...

A Beautiful Scene,
Heaven

The heavens are a place that no one knows, what a beautiful sight of all the loved ones, God has made them new, young and beautiful, for that's where they live in the heavens above.  

It's a beautiful sight a beautiful scene for everyone knows their living in peace, the grass is green, the flowers bloom, it's like Christmas all the years through.  

It's quiet up there, for only they know, they have come back and told us so.  Now I know when I die, I'll be living in God's eternity of life...

Grandma Lupe, I have had many adventures with you as I lived my past years as a young child. You have given me guidance and love in your own special way. I will cherish them as I live out my future years and use your teachings on my own child(ren) someday. I will miss you for many years to come. My only regret is that I wasn't able to give you a proper goodbye.but now I have peace because of your beautiful scent of your presence. I love you

Dear cousin you will be greatly missed. Your Uncle David passed on the 13th. He, Aunt Mamie, your momma and all that have passed before will be happy to be reunited with you in GOD's house. We will all, someday, see each other again.

Dear Mom,

I have been thinking about you a lot.  I cried myself to sleep last night.  I just want and need you to come to me and say "it's okay."  I miss you, I see an image of you throughout the day.  It has been so hard to see dad keeping himself busy, just to keep his mind occupied.  He misses you dearly, he has a shrine of pictures of you together in front of your Virgin Mary, and has a candle lit for you.  My mind tells me you are okay, but my heart just yearns for you back.  I keep telling myself if you had not went blind you would still be here with us today.  I don't know?  Mom, please watch over us, guide us, help us to make our dreams come true.  That would be nice, that would be wonderful.  I read a poem I wrote for you before you left us to dad, he really liked it and thought I should have read it to you.  Hopefully you can hear it...  Here it is:

For years you could see me
You could see through my heart
Today you can only feel me
The beating of my broken heart

Your eyes lit up the room
My mother, your innocence so true
Now your eyes so sad
Blindness has overcome you

I love you, if Heaven is as beautiful as they say, as beautiful as that picture we bought when I was a little girl, then I know...you are just fine, you are happy, you are not sad, you are not blind, you are in no pain, your heart is full of joy...

Together Forever...

I must say that it is not an easy thing to bury a parent. Especially one as special as this. She was the embodiment of a mother, warm and welcoming. She was funny and caring among other things. A tremendous woman has arrived in heaven. Keep the gates open for me...

My beautiful n precious friend we've known each other since we were 9 or 10 yrs old .we had so much fun together I remember when ur dad would take us swimming n we went to Galveston n just hung around with each other it was always fun . There's so many memories even when we got married we able to reconnect n I met ur beautiful children you n Tino did a great job raising such great kids . I love you so much n you'll always be in my heart . There's so much to say I could go on n on . I know ur our angel n will always watch over us . We love my dear Bambi RIP .

One of the hardest day for my family and I, we lost a good woman, wife, mother, aunt, mother in law and the best grandmother a child could have! She will be missed and their are no words to describe it. She touched so many people and loved so many, I know she is in a beautiful place where she is just enjoying herself. I thank her for the amazing man that she gave me and for always taking care of my babies, they were her world. She did it so I could go to work at peace knowing no one would hurt them. I thank her for always being there for me  not only as my mother in law but as a friend and mother,  she helped mold the woman I  am today.  I will forever be grateful to her. We wont be able to have all the crazy adventures with Alexis and Jasmine, but it makes me feel better to know she will always tag along with them. It comforts me to know that she finally got see my youngest daughter,  Arianna whom she loved dearly. I  know in my heart that we have gained an angel that will always watch over us and protect us, but the pain is like no other. We ask the Lord for strength and understanding during this time. Love you mom with all our hearts and like my Jazzy girl says ....see you in my dreams????????

I never called her by her name. She was Mom. As a matter of fact I didn't know her name until I was an adult. All that knew her knows how fun and easy it was to talk with her. Very matter of fact, funny always loving and giving. 
I wish I would not have let so much time pass from seeing you but I'm grateful to have been with you as you peacefully went heaven. I love you dearly as I love my beautiful friend, my sister in heart Angelica. You leave such a legacy and will live forever in all relationships and memories you created.

Angelica and family...I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. She was a dear lady. I remember out lunches you and I would have with her many years ago. I am sad that we have lost contact over the years. I would like to share something I received today.

Where do I begin....First off...I LOVE YOU and wish I would have told you that more often! You have always been an amazing woman, the life of the party, the rock of our Garza family. When beautiful people like you are taken way to soon from us you start to question the things you take for granted. When your health started taking a toll on your body, you kept fighting not only for yourself but for all of us. 
No matter how much time passed in between the times I would get to see you we always picked up right where we left off.  You always wanted to hear what was going on with me, always asked about my amazing girls, always asked about my wonderful mother.....no matter what you had going on you always took the time to just sit with me and listen. 
I never got to thank you for being amazing to my daddy as a young man and a grown man....he's a tough guy to deal with but I thank you for taking care of him and making him the man he is today to my sisters and I.
I promise to take care of uncle Tino and always check up on him....I live a few hundred miles away but i'm just a phone call away if he ever needs me....as for your amazing children that you raised.....I promise to be the best cousin I can be to them!
Your in an amazing place, with the King of all creations.....you can rest now my beautiful angel....

I'm saddened to hear about Lupe's passing, she loved her family and they truly loved her. She had a beautiful spirit, and loving heart. She never cared when our dog would jump other the fence into her yard.It happened often Lupe said "Zoey (dog) could come over anytime." Mom, its Jacob, i just wanted to tell you that I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, i sit here and look at this computer and type this message but can't keep my eyes off you, how beautiful you look and just how i remember you when i was a little boy. This is a very difficult time for me as it is for my dad your KING, Angelica, Chris and Phillip and in that order of our names as you brought us in this world. On monday Jan.26, 2015 we will lay you down for your final resting place but into your new transition into your new life with no pain no blindness no suffering no hurt. Im so very proud of you for the life you lived and the willing to fight everyday to live that life to be with us. I think its very important that you know that I'm not mad i don't ask why i don't say only if. I'm very happy for the relationship i had with you and i couldn't ask for more. We had our talks as you also did with my dad and my sister and my brothers, different talks and different relationships but at the end of the day still the same love. I love you so so much and i will truly miss just being able to talk to you about anything and if anyone knew you like we did i mean talk about anything lol, which means "laugh out loud" for the older versions of people haha..... Well mom i think i wrote enough without you saying Jake thats enough, i just want you to know that you will always be with me in my HEART, and on this note on behalf of my family we say WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!!!!! Lupe, you will be missed! I know that I will see you again in Heaven. My only regret was that I hadn't visited you in awhile but you were always in my pyayers. I am very thankful that I was there to say goodbye and to be there with you before you left us to go home. Thank you for your friendship and making my family part of yours. Raymond and I will always have memories of our many evenings at the Hop dancing the night away and family gatherings. You taught me many moves and brought me out of my shell. It's been over 20 years of friendship. You will always be in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Garza family. May the Lord give you strength during this very difficult time.
