Grace was artistically inclined with painting landscapes and loved traditional classical music. Grace and Jim met when they were just 18 years old, it would be 5 years and a military tour before they married. After marrying, Jim attended Fordham University, during this time Grace supported the family as a medical assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute. Upon Jim's graduation, Grace quit working to raise the family. In 1970 the family relocated to Houston, Texas, then to California before returning to Houston where they have lived for 42 years.
Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James "Jim" W. Daley; son, Thomas Daley and daughter, Catherine Daley. Also surviving is her brother, Bruce Ryder and wife, Madeline.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020 in Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, (281) 447-8686, Rev. Kevin Boyd, officiating.
The following is information is helpful for those planning to attend the Graveside services.
Please arrive no sooner than 1:15 p.m., and no later than 1:25 p.m.
When you enter the cemetery gates, continue for a short distance until you see signs directing you to Lane #1 or Lane #2. Mrs. Daley's service procession will be forming in Lane #1. We will then all proceed to our committal pavilion at 1:30 p.m.
