Mrs. Grace L. Briggs

Mrs. Grace L. Briggs, 96, passed away on September 6, 2012. She was born April 21, 1916 in LaSalle, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, C.M. Briggs. She was a member of Burbank Church of Christ for more than 62 years. Grace was a beautician for over 45 years from her home. She loved to play dominoes and to crochet. She also received numerous letters of thanks for her crochet caps given to patients at MD Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memories sister, Tresa Joan Jones Franklin & husband Alvin; son, Nathan Tony Briggs & wife Thelma; grandchildren, Nathan LaMon Briggs & wife Lisa, Tony Glen Briggs & friend Becky Howard; great-grandchildren, Lacey Diane Briggs, Rachel Marie Lane & husband Ryan, Kenny Ford & wife Mariel, Brandon Ford, Christopher Lloyd, Cristina Lloyd, Dwight Howard, Samuel Howard; great-great grandchildren, Kyle Jackson Martin and Justin Levi Lane. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 4pm to 7pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, September 10, 2012 at 10am at Brookside Funeral Home in the Family Chapel. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
