Gloria was born to Pedro and Antonia Espinosa, August 24, 1926, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1944. She married Roy Zermeno Sr. in 1948, and they lived together in Houston, Texas.Together they raised 7 children.
Gloria is survived by her sister, Vera Calderon; son, Roy Zermeno (Dolores); daughters, Irene Canales (Al), Cynthia Aranda (Lionel), Irma Gonzalez (Jesse), Rosalie Chavez (Marseleno), Belinda Johnson (Wiley), and Kathy Zermeno; grandchildren, Anthony Zermeno (Melanie), Stephen Zermeno (Melissa), Kristine Cardenas (Jesus IV), Joshua Aranda (Candice), Jeremy Aranda (Terri), Nickolas Zermeno, Sara Gonzalez, Erik Gonzalez, and Whitney Johnson. She also had 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Zermeno, Sr.; father, Pedro Espinosa; mother, Antonia Espinosa; sisters, Lucy Espinosa and Alice Hernandez.
A rosary is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Resurrection Church at 9:00 AM and Mass to follow at 10 AM. Father Martial Oya will officiate the ceremony.
