Gloria Louise Hanson (Smith) was born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 21, 1926 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer Smith. She was baptized at an early age and attended St. Simon’s School in Jamaica.
She migrated to the United States in 1963. Gloria worked for several clients as a caregiver in New York. After retiring, she relocated to Texas.
Gloria was known as “Aunt Las” by everyone. She was loved by all that knew her. Everyone loved her cakes. Her favorite colors were grey, purple and lavender.
Gloria leaves behind her son Errol Hanson (Monica); grandchildren: Shevoughn Hanson, Tamara Hughes Bynum, and Victor Bernard Hanson. Great grandchildren: Dominique, Donna and Joel. Great-great grandson: Israel. As well as nieces, nephews, cousins and dear lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Mortimer Smith; husband, Victor Lincoln Hanson and brothers: Roy Smith and George Smith.
