Remembering my favorite Aunt today.  Love and miss you Aunt Gloria.

Ms. Gloria Barrera nos a dejado un gran vacío en nuestro corazón, pero tenemos la seguridad que ya está junto a nuestro padre celestial, pero ella vivirá en mi corazón y en nuestras innumerables dulces memorias.

Our heartfelt condolences, we pray to God for all her relatives and comfort them for this great loss, especially her daughter, Sandra Barrera and her husband Manuel Tello.
Ms. Gloria Barrera has left a great void in our hearts, but rest assured that she is already with our heavenly father, but she will live on in my heart and in our countless sweet memories.
We will always remember Ms. Gloria with her pleasant smile that characterized her with love and respect. Rest in peace Ms. Gloria Lamas Barrera.

Aunt Gloria was always my favorite aunt. After her brother passed, my father, at times she was like a second mother. I have so many fond memories of visiting her and Uncle Willie when I was growing up, she really made an impact in my life, always encouraging and sending love.

And like Ron mentioned, she was a fabulous cook, a giver and a bright shinning light.  I will forever cherish my 
memories and her love.

Doña Gloria will always be remembered, she will be in my heart💛💐

I have been missing my dear Aunt Gloria's cooking since we all grew up and moved away.  I never thought I would lose my favorite Aunt, who made stockings for our kids without fail. Gloria is sadly my last Aunt. While growing up, we seemed to live at Gloria and Willie's and visit on most holidays.  I have several recollections related to the finer points of the flour tortilla. My mother and youngest Lamas daughter will probably laugh about this one: My mother tried and tried and tried but never learned how to approach Gloria's cooking skill's best highlighted by the simply deceptive tortilla.  Tortillas seem simple, and as a self-proclaimed cook, I tried and tried and tried too.  I think I had to be using mom's recipe which was surely not copied properly from Gloria.  Word was Adele (Mom) was the last girl and somehow missed the cooking lessons while Uncle Joe, the baby, somehow got a pass. Now, I realize, cooks are either very good or not.  Gloria was certainly the best cook and an aunt that I will always look back with great respect and love.

To my dear Sister Gloria..
I will always be so proud of you and forever will remember all the wonderful time we had together all the way back when we were very young. You made my life so wonderful. I want to tell you that I love you so very much, and I am so lucky to have had a wonderful sister that helped me so much. We had so many great times and vacations together. I will forever thank God for you and the wonderful time that we had together.

I never got to say that final good-bye
and tell you how much I loved you
and appreciate all the things you did for me.
You were a sister and a friend,
I loved you.

I lived with Gloria and willie when I was in junior college.  I loved the children, Sandy and Tommy.

My condolences, 
May god give you and your family the strength through this hard time. May all the happy memories of your family comfort you during this sad time.
