Glenelle Ann Warren Hopson, 73, daughter, beloved wife, stepmom, grandmother, cousin, and friend to many, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Finnis Lynn Hopson, by her side. Trusting her Creator and believing in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, she was not afraid of death. She is now celebrating and at peace, just as she would want us to be.
Glenelle is preceded in death by her parents, Glen Harrel Warren and Elizabeth “Marcelle” Christian Warren.
She is survived by her husband, Finnis Lynn Hopson; stepdaughter, Jill Marie Burkey; and grandchildren, Stella Marie and Hannah Aurora.
Glenelle was born on June 24, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She grew up in the Denver Harbor Subdivision and was baptized at age 8. She began her personal relationship with Jesus in her 30s.
Glenelle was proud of her career as an Oil & Gas Lease Analyst in the energy industry, where she worked for 48 years. Glenelle married Finnis on January 23, 1993, and they shared 32 years full of laughter and adventures. Eight years ago, she became Grandma Glenelle, or GG, to two little girls who adored her and cherished the tea parties they had during their visits. She loved dancing, being outdoors, animals, and staying connected with family and friends. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Even in the hospital, her spirits were up as she would talk to her nurses and Finnis would make her laugh. We ask that you remember Glenelle not for the way her life ended, but for the way she lived it and the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate the life of Glenelle, April 11th, 2025 1:00 pm Visitation, 2:00 Funeral, 3:00 Graveside Service, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas, followed by a reception.
We love you, Glenelle. You will be missed. Psalm 27
