Geraldine was born on 29 September 1933 to Anthony Rocco Navarro and Lucille Navarro in Houston, TX. After Geraldine graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1951, she pursued a degree in Education at the University of Houston in 1955.
After graduation, she enjoyed working at both the University of Texas Dental Branch and American General Insurance – Executive Offices for John L. Wortham. She was a member of several Education Associations and was also deeply engaged in many activities of the Pin Oaks Horse Show in 1950s and 1960s, the Valeria Club, and the Amiketas Club. She was forever committed to learning.
In 1970, she met Angelo Prioli in Houston, TX. Geraldine was a loving wife whom Angelo depended on in countless ways. Behind the scenes, she was his rock and his deeply devoted partner in life. Angelo and Geraldine later went on to have one child, Gregory Prioli, who was their pride and joy.
Geraldine joins her parents, her sisters (Madelyn N. Lombardo, Anna Gloria Navarro), and the love of her life, Angelo Prioli, in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her devoted son, Gregory Prioli, daughter-in-law, Laura Prioli, her only grandchild, Nicholas Prioli, and her many nieces and cousins.
Geraldine’s greatest joy in life was doing for others. Becoming a grandmother was her most passionate role in life. She leaves a legacy of life well lived and a treasure of cherished memories to her loved ones.
Even though sometimes the roads to travel were narrow and challenging, she continued on with faith and love in her heart. She said, “As long as my eyes remain open, I live for my greatest pleasure in life which is to do for others. May it always be a part of me.”
