Gerald Julian Goodwin was born in 1940 in McDonald, Tennessee. He died on March 17, 2011with a roomful of family and friends surrounding his bedside. He is preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Sterling Goodwin. He is survived by Lisa, his wife of 43 years, daughter Angela, sons Bryan and Jeremy, mother Sue, brother Phil, sister Sharon Ann, three grandsons, seven nieces and seven nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to the compassionate ICU nurses at St. Luke's and Memorial Hermann Hospitals. A memorial service to honor and remember Jerry's life will be held on March 30, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home, at 13401 Eastex Freeway at Lauder Road, in Houston.
