George West, born on May 4, 1925 in Frederick, South Dakota, passed away on his birthday in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 89. George is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ina West and two grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ann West. Other survivors include his children, Jane West, Greg West, Steve West, Mike West, and Kathi Smith; two brothers, Ed West, and Marvin West. Nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook St, Houston, Texas 77034 on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. A reception in the parish hall will follow immediately after the funeral mass. The rite of committal will be at 3:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas.
