A diving accident in 1986 rendered him a quadriplegic with movement limited to the shrugging of his shoulders. Against all odds, he put himself through undergrad school and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended the South Texas College of Law where he graduated with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Bill entered private law where he practiced for over 20 years. To his family, he was “Billy,” the one always guaranteed to make you laugh. To his friends, he was always the one you could count on. He will be missed every day.
He is preceded in death by his biological mother, Linda K. Walls and his adoptive mother and dancing partner, Barbara J. Walls. Both loved him dearly and he returned that love many times over.
Survived by: father, George W. Walls, sisters Karen Barner, Pamela Jensen (Paul), Kelly Peacock, Tina Ables. Nieces and Nephews: Barbara Angle (Chuck), Britney Brown, Beverly Barner (Giovanni), Brandy Brown (Chance), Drake Bullock, Austin Ables, Abigail Jensen and Georgia Jensen. Great niece and nephew: Makenna McCarroll and Vanni Ganzalez.
His life will be celebrated on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Address: 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77079. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon and last until the service begins at 2pm. Burial to immediately follow after service.
