GEORGE D. “BUCK” PRINCE III, passed away peacefully at home in Sugar Land, Texas on January 24, 2014. He was 81 years old. Born in Dallas on March 6, 1932, he was the son of the founder of Prince’s Hamburger Drive Inn chain, Doug Prince Junior, known to many as the “Hamburger King.” Buck Prince attended San Jacinto High School, Peacock Military Academy, and the University of Houston. After serving his country in Korea, Mr. Prince followed his father’s lead as President and Founder of Prince Food Systems, Inc. He was dedicated to the community as a Lifetime Director of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Buck is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia L. Prince; brother, Charles E. Prince Sr.; sister, Meriam Prince Rettig; son, George D. Prince IV; daughter, Linda E. Varney wife to Steven E. Varney; grandchildren, Steven C. Varney, Amy M. Clements and husband Robert B. Clements, Ashley N. Varney; and great granddaughter Ellie V. Clements. Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Angels
